Act Two Scene Two Rolls 21-A + 54-B
Sunset doesn't last all evening. A mind can blow those clouds away. |
This roll contains a most
heartfelt and ethereal sounding version of All Things
Must Pass featuring George
and John. One can easily imagine that
George has already mastered how he wants
to sing the song, and does so, on this take, with great passion and depth.
He is essentially reaching
deep into John's soul, almost putting him
into a hypnotic trance. John finally reaches the center of the song,
and his organ becomes vapor-like, drifting thru and encircling the song within lovely atmospherics. It may remind one of the Mellotron flutes, which form the
intro to Strawberry
Fields Forever.
The Beatles are slowly beginning to understand and to feel "All Things Must Pass".
